Innovation Cycle

The expansion of Grand Rapids Innovation Park serves as the pivot point for the transformation of health. This physical space will bring together partnership and innovative ideas that will drive health care evolution to the next level.

MSU is engaging partners who recognize the strength of the innovation cycle in elevating quality health outcomes, decreasing costs and shifting health care out of high acuity settings. The Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building is poised to be the nucleus for attracting likeminded partners who join MSU in transforming health.

What is the innovation cycle?

Transforming health care

Grand Rapids Innovation Park is providing a platform for all parts of the health ecosystem to come together to solve common problems, capitalize on existing opportunities, create new companies and innovate at scale.

MSU's commercialization accelerator will organize a robust marketplace by bringing together growth stage companies, health systems, health insurance companies, venture capitalists, academic and industry scientists and health technology companies.

Tenants and members of the health care ecosystem will benefit from:

  • Instant national distribution and scale of products and solutions
  • Access to venture capital
  • Leveraged and scaled innovation
  • Brand enhancement and awareness as a national leader around health care innovation, collaboration and partnership
  • Outcomes-based research to ensure only the best products are distributed in the market
  • Shared cost structure and increased resources to address, evaluate, test/pilot ideas
