The uses include cancer research and treatment, the development of diagnostic methods (and potential future treatments) for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, as well as technological platforms including artificial intelligence that are currently being developed to provide meaningful insights to the current COVID-19 crisis. Essential public health infrastructure projects, such as the Grand Rapids Innovation Park, are permitted to continue construction under the executive order. The construction management team for the project has demonstrated their commitment to implementing proper safety protocols for its team members and trade contractors and is utilizing the latest information from the CDC to provide a safe working environment.
